Driving Age and Driver License Requirements
– The driver age required is 21 – 65 years
Senior driver’s age: 65 to 75 years. Charge 5 EUR per day. Includes 18% tax
– Driving license must be held for at least 2 year. UK license holders need to present the photocard and the paper counterpart.
– When collecting the car, the principal driver & any additional drivers will need to provide a full driving license on their name.
– A valid passport (or ID card, if it is written in roman characters and only for EU countries), air-tickets may be required.
– In some cases if driving license is printed with non Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic etc) an international driving license is required.
Please note: an international driving license/permit does not replace the requirement for a regular driving license. If using an international license/permit, a full driving license in the principal drivers name will still be mandatory in order to rent the vehicle.
Your rental with Nez Rent a Car normally will include collision damage & theft protection waivers. Collision Damage Waiver will waive your liability to pay for any damage caused to the vehicle during the period of rental.
Theft Waiver provides coverage for the theft or damage resulting from attempted theft of the vehicle, its parts and accessories up to their full value and any loss that our car rental company may occur. Both are subject to certain exclusions. Your liability is waived subject to you paying a charge, referred to as an excess which limits your liability to the cost of the excess only. In the event that the renter has behaved recklessly or negligently or driven under the influence of drugs or alcohol you may be liable for the full cost damage. Please note that in our rental company policy there are exceptions to cover which may include windscreens, tires, the underside or interior of the vehicle, towing charges & replacement keys. Please check your agreement fully at the time of renting for exact exclusions. Please note a number of options may be available to buy locally, which reduce your risk or can provide further cover to you and your belongings.
Primary Driver Credit Card Preauthorization
At time of pick up you will be required to leave a deposit to cover the value of the insurance excess. Usually it takes the form of an amount (minimum: Excess+Fuel+Tax) being blocked on an international credit card in the name of the primary driver (cash deposits, maestro, switch and visa electron are not accepted).
The blocked amount will be returned in full at the end of the rental provided the vehicle is returned in the same condition as rented.

Theft Excess: 590.00 EUR Tax Included
Please note due to the foreign exchange rate and other possible banking charges the customer will have to take responsibility for the possible expenses involved when the deposit/excess is charged/refund.
The vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel. It should be full on return or refueling charges will be applied.
No refunds for unused fuel are given.
Lost Keys and Documents
-The Car Rental Company will charge if key(s) are lost or badly damaged EUR 300.00 VAT Included. If the customer loses the documents the charge will be EUR 300.00 VAT Included
-During day period from 08:00 until 20:00 – 120 minutes
-During night period from 20:00 until 08:00 – 60 minutes
-No pets are permitted in the vehicle
-A cleaning fee of EUR 35.00 will be charged if the supplier detects evidence of pets in the vehicle.
-A cleaning fee of EUR 35.00 will be charged if the supplier detects evidence of smoking in the vehicle.
-Late returns will result in additional charges. The company allows a grace period of 30 minutes, after which an extra full day will be charged.
Cross Border Policy
Travel outside country must be noted & confirmed at time of booking and at least 5 days prior to commencement.
Vehicles are not permitted to travel on ferries or to any island locations without pre-approval from Nez Rent a Car.
Cross-border travel is permitted to Albania, Bosnia&Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia at an additional charge of 35 EUR for each country separately.
We are unable to guarantee a particular make, model or fuel type of car. The car shown on your voucher is for guidance only and may be substituted for an alternative, similar or upgraded car (at no extra cost) at our option. If, at time of pickup, it becomes impossible to provide your booked car as shown on your rental voucher due to breakdown or an accident, a similar or upgraded car will be provided by Nez Rent a Car.
Additional equipment requested at time of booking or purchased locally:
-Additional driver: 3.00 EUR per day
-Baby seat: 3.00 EUR per day
-Child seat: 3.00 EUR per day
-Booster seat: 3.00 EUR per day
-Navigation System (GPS): 5.00 EUR per day
Cancellation and no-show policy
What is the cancellation policy for fully prepaid or part-paid bookings?
1 – If you cancel 48 hours prior to your pick up, you will be refunded in FULL.
2 – If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, you’ll receive a refund minus 50 EUR for fully prepaid bookings.
3 – If your online payment is less than 50 EUR , no refund will be made for your car hire booking.
4 – All cancellations should be made on our online portal and not with the car hire agent. Should you agree to cancel directly with the car hire agent on arrival, you must also inform us of this change to your booking.
5 – Amending your booking or cancelling optional extras may not be possible less than 24 hours before pick up.
What is a no-show?
A ‘no-show’ occurs for the following reasons:
1 – You didn’t inform us about your cancellation prior to your pick up date.
2 – You failed to pick up the car at the arranged time and date.
3 – You failed to provide the documentation that’s required to pick up the car.
4 – You failed to provide a credit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds on it.
In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you.
The car hire company reserves the right to refuse a car if you fail to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car’s security deposit.
